More information : Park to Warwick Castle landscaped in 1749-61 by Capability Brown. This landscaping replaced formal gardens which were situated around the castle. Although the park was enlarged in the late 18th century most of Brown's basic design survives. Formal gardens were created in 1869 by Robert Marnock, he was also responsible for the formal rose garden of 1868, which was restored in 1985-86. The site also includes an early 20th century garden by Harold Peto, associated with a medieval fortress. (1)
