Grid Ref : NY4664061130
Summary : Farmhouse, probably early 17th century to rear, with a late 17th century facade. Probably built with stone from Hadrian's Wall. This may be the Highstonehouse at Bleterne, recorded in a survey of 1603, or the present building was built on or near the site of the pele tower.
More information : (NY 46606110) Bleatarn Park (NAT) (1)

Bleatarn Park is an early 18th century two storey roughcast building with slate roof. "There is known to have been a 15th century Pele tower near or on this site". (Source of information not traced. Possibly a reference to Hadrians Wall remains.) (2)

Farmhouse. Probably early 17th century to rear, with late 17th century facade for the Hetherington family. Built with stone from Hadrian's Wall. This is perhaps the Highstonehouse at Bleterne (3a). (3)

A survey of the house in 1994 suggests that the house stands on the site of the pele, judging from the lowest stone courses. Plan.(4)
