Excavation of nine test pits in 1999. The site had been heavily robbed, although there were traces of the original turf Wall and its milecastle beneath surviving stonework. Cobbling in a gap in the north wall seemed to represent the site of the north gate. The inner face of the east wall was also identified, as was the west wall of an internal building on the east side of the installation. The internal dimensions of this long axis milecastle were circa 16.5m by 24m. (6-7)
Located on the English Heritage map of Hadrian's Wall 2010. (8)
