There is no local tradition of a tower at Kershopefoot village and general perambulation in the area revealed no evidence of such a structure. Dr Robson, (b) has no information on this name, and doubts the existence of a strong house in this locality. (2)
Depicted as `Kisopfote' on the 1607 plot of Cumbria. A square ditch, believed to be a moat has been recoded from aerial photos and identified on the ground. (3) |
