Summary : A possible Bronze Age round barrow is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. It is defined by an irregular ring ditch measuring 30m across. It is one of the smaller of five barrows in a cemetery which is situated adjacent to a possible mortuary enclosure (NMR Monument 1516704) and close to a possible henge (NMR Monument 1516699, 1516695, 1516693, 1002029). The barrow is situated on a gently sloping N-S aligned spur of land to the south of the river Avon. Other possibly associated monuments in the vicinity include Marden Henge within which there is Hatfield Barrow and a small henge (NMR Monuments 215179, 215176,215182) which are to the north west across the river.
More information : A possible Bronze Age round barrow is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. It is defined by an irregular ring ditch measuring 30m across. It is centred at SU 0917 5750. It appears on one of the aerial photographs (CUCAP BHV 6) to have a possible break in the ditch but this does not appear on the other photographs and the images are not of sufficient quality to be sure. The ditch defining the barrow, like the other prehistoric monuments in the vicinity has an irregular appearance and appears to be of varying width.

It is one of the smaller of five barrows in a cemetery (NMR Monument 1516699, 1516695, 1516693, 1002029) which is situated adjacent to a possible mortuary enclosure (NMR Monument 1516704) and close to a possible henge (NMR Monument 1002029). Other possibly associated monuments in the vicinity include Marden Henge, within which is the Hatfield Barrow and a small henge (NMR Monuments 215179, 215176,215182) which are to the north west across the river.
