More information : Gloucester Arms a two storey red sandstone building with a green slate roof. Formerly known as Dockray Hall and said to date from circa 1470. It has been altered by the insertion of windows of the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. Conjectured to have been the residence of the Duke of Gloucester (late Richard III). Main entrance has two coats of arms, one dated 1580. Grade 1. 5165 GREAT DOCKRAY Gloucester Arms NY 5130 1/104 24.4.51 Grade I GV Circa 1470 but now mainly late C16. Traditional home of Duke of Gloucester (late Richard III). Red sandstone with painted stucco front, 2 storeys. Wide yard entry and 3 bay windows, main doorway with carved and painted coats of arms of de Whelpdale and Richard III and date 1580. Four C16 windows. Very good interior.
