Summary : The Roman road was traced as a low agger with a prominent south-facing scarp 0.25m high.
More information : Stanegate is traced as a low agger with a prominent south-facing scarp 0.25m high. (1) The course of the road is recorded from aerial photographs at a scale of 1:10000 as part of the Hadrian's Wall World Heritage Site Mapping Project. The road is visible as a sharply defined feature highlighted under a light cover of snow between NY 7100 6598 and NY 7114 6600. (2)
