Summary : A Second World War dispersed accommodation site for RAF Babdown Farm RLG (Relief Landing Ground) (Monument Number 138356) was located southeast of Beverston Old Brake adjacent to the A4135 road. The dispersed site comprised barracks, two blast shelters, ablutions block, two air raid shelters, an emergency water supply and a picket post (guardhouse) as well as other associated military buildings. All the buildings were demolished on aerial photographs taken in 1972.
More information : A Second World War dispersed accommodation site for RAF Babdown Farm RLG (Relief Landing Ground) (Monument Number 138356) is visible on aerial photographs and has been mapped as part of The Cotswold Hills NMP survey. The site was located southeast of Beverston Old Brake, adjacent to the A4135 road and centred ST 8574 9411. The dispersed site comprised barracks, two blast shelters, ablutions block, two air raid shelters, an emergency water supply and a picket post (guardhouse) as well as other associated military buildings. All the buildings were demolished on aerial photographs taken in 1972. (1-2)
