Summary : The concrete shell and underground remains of a Pickett-Hamilton fort on the site of a former United States Airforce (USAAF) base. Above ground, all that remains is the circular concrete slab which formed the lid of the retracted fort. Completed in 1941 as one of three forts built to defend at what that time was a RAF airfield. The airfield was handed over to the American forces by 1944. Scheduled.
