Summary : Four Roman centurial stones, not in situ; one is now lost, and two are built into Allolee Farmhouse and one built into a cowhouse. No. 1756, inscribed - COH VII XI I<>N. No. 1759, inscribed - CO. No. 1760, inscribed - C Mari Dex. No. 1761, inscribed - C Valeri Veri.

No.1756. A much weathered building stone built into the east jamb of the south door of the cow-house on the east side of the farm house, about 4 ft above the ground. Inscribed - coh VII XI I<>N.
No.1759. Building stone, seen before 1732 built into the front wall of a cow-house. Now lost. Inscribed - CO.
No.1760. Building stone found before 1873 near the Wall and built into the south wall of the farm-house where it still is. Inscribed - C Mari Dex.
No.1761. Building stone found before 1873 on the Wall and now built up in to the south face of the farm-house. Inscribed - C Valeri Veri. (1)

No 1760, correctly described, is in situ at NY 6875 6674. The remainder could not be located and were unknown to the present tenant. Both farm-house and byre have been restored in recent years and the stones are apparently lost. (2)

No. 1756. According to the occupier at Allolee Farm this centurial stone is still built into the east jamb of the cowhouse door, but it has been plastered over an is now invisible.
No. 1759. Not located.
No. 1760. Still visible at junction of porch and south wall of Allolee Farmhouse.
No. 1761. Still visible in window surround on the south side of Allolee Farmhouse. (3)
