Summary : Hydraulic tower at Wapping Dock, dated 1856, by Jesse Hartley. It stands at the south end of Wapping Warehouse and supplied power to it. The structure has a battered granite rubble base with a Tudor-arched opening. Its upper part is octagonal, being of brick with rusticated stone quoins. The date 1856 is incised at the top of east face and it has a battlemented parapet on granite machicolations.
