Summary : Site of Second World War heavy anti-aircraft battery IW6 at Nettlestone Green. It was armed with four 3.7-inch guns with GL Mark II radar in 1942, and was upgunned to four 5.25-inch guns by 1944. It was retained as a Nucleus Force Headquarters Battery in 1946.
