Summary : Site of Second World War heavy anti anti aircraft battery ZS26. It was armed with four 5.25-inch gun emplacements. It was manned by the Home Guard in 1942 and by the 160th (Mixed) Royal Artillery Regiment in 1943. It was retained as an Off-Site Nucleus Force Battery in 1946. 6 concrete building bases and 2 concrete circular covered gun pits. 2 others are filled in, now path of cycle/pedestrian paths.
