Summary : A Second World War bombing decoy at Ruskington that was built to deflect enemy bombing from Royal Air Force Digby airfield. This was a 'Q-type' night decoy, which displayed a series of lights to simulate an active airfield. It is referenced as being operational during 1940 and 1941. By the 1970s the site had been given over to agricultural use and no features of the decoy survive. A further bombing decoy for Royal Air Force Digby airfield was located at Dorrington.
More information : A Second World War 'Q-type' bombing decoy located at Ruskington (TF 111 514). In operation from 19-JUN-1940 to 01-AUG-1941. A further bombing decoy for RAF Digby was located at Dorrington (TF 095 543). (1)

Aerial photography shows that by 1975 the area had been given over to agricultural usage and no features of the decoy survive. (2)
