Summary : Site of Second World War heavy anti aircraft battery Plymouth No.6 at Billacombe. This was armed with four 3.7-inch static guns in 1941, upgunned to six static guns with GL Mark IA radar in 1942. It was manned by 201 Battery of the 56th Royal Artillery Regiment in 1941, and by 441 Battery of the 116th Royal Artillery Regiment in 1942.
