Summary : Late 16th century timber framed with tiled roofs. 2 storeys. Top storey and north range added in 1st half of 17th century. The west front has 5 gables with carved bargeboards, pendants and finials, and corbels at valleys. Top and 1st floor project with moulded bressummers, that at 1st floor level has modern fascia board. 1st floor 3-light sashes with glazing bars, ground floor mullion/transom with leaded panes, 2nd floor 2-light casements. The north end of this range facing Worcester Road is similar with 1 gable. Beyond this facing Worcester Road range built 1820, roughcast brick ground floor, timber-framed above in wide panels with pedimented windows. At the east end of this elevation 2 overhanging timber-framed gables with oriels and octagonal turret with lead-clad ogee-shaped dome. Much rebuilding in 1820. |
