More information : A Jewish cemetery was extant from the 18th May 1757 and was extended in 1807, 1827 and 1851. The cemetery is rectangular in plan with the short side abutting Magdalen Street to the north. The cemetery is bounded by a high brick wall reinforced by buttresses with an arched entrance at the northern end. The cemetery has many Ashkenazi style Matzevah orientated on a north to south axis with the oldest examples being in the centre of the site. An Ohel with a double pitched roof is located at the north of the site. The boundary walls and arched entrance are Listed at Grade II. (1-2)
