Summary : Lifeboat Station, Spurn Head. Lifeboat provided at Spurn in 1810. Gun battery barracks decomissioned in 1809 (EA281, HOB UID 1002870) were purchased to house the master, station, and serve as an inn, the Life Boat House Hotel (EA283, HOB UID 1524220). It was used until 1852. The crew lived at Kilnsea until 1819, when cottages were built on the Point.
