Barns and overgrown enclosure banks of the deserted farmstead of Goodleys (sic) survive at ST 068358. (3)

ST 069358. Deserted farmstead of Goodleys with remains of a large barn, linhay and cottage. There is a local tradition of a 'village' here destroyed by 'the plague' but there was probably no more than a farm on the site. (4)

Goodley was a property of the Templars before their suppression in 1312. It survived as a hamlet in 1597. (5)
