Summary : Congresbury was named as a minster in King Alfred's reign (871-99, see ST46SW16). The present church is mainly 13th and 15th century, with a plan of West tower, aisled nave, chancel and South porch. The earliest visible feature is the Norman font. The church was restored in 1825, 1856 and 1950-2
