More information : (Centred SO 743380) Eastnor Park Deer Park (NAT) (1) Eastnor park, an existing deer park was enclosed by the Earl of Somerset circa 1820 and contains 800 acres. It is fenced partly by a stone wall and partly by continuous iron fencing. Circa 1890 it contained a herd of some 300 fallow deer and 60 red deer. (2)

Medieval deer park, emparked during the 14th century by Richard Beauchamp. It was also enclosed and partly landscaped by the Earl of Somerset circa 1820 and contains woodland, a mid 19th century arboretum, a lake and 19th century terraced gardens. The gardens, which are centred around Eastnor Castle, comprise shrubs, a lawn and borders. The deer park is present to the north and northeast of the castle. (4)
Landscape park, gardens and pinetum at Eastnor Castle. The gardens were planted circa 1813 by the castle gardener William Moss. Planting of the pinetum was started in 1817, but the main planting took place between 1852 and 1883. Restoration work in the pinetum started during the 1990s. The park is thought to have been created circa 1785, enclosing a deer park of circa 1460. Tree planting took place during the late 17th century and early 19th century. Further planting took place between 1860-1903 by the castle gardener William Coleman. (5)
