More information : A Dobunnic hoard of some 250 gold and silver coins, with a number of Roman coins the latest being Claudius, was found at Well Down Farm, Nunney, on Oct. 15th. 1860. They had been deposited in an urn and were uncovered when ploughing 'Eleven Acre Field':
The coins are dispersed in various Museums including, The British, Ashmolean, Fitzwilliam, Menstrie (Bath) and the Bibliotheque Nationale (Paris): others are in private hands. (1-4) Eleven Acre Field is centred at ST 71704514. A silver coin of Antedrigus is in Taunton Museum (Acc. No. A 2934). Some half dozen coins from this hoard are in the Holbein Menstrie Museum, Bath.
