154 yards north-west from the last (NZ 09 NE 4) a much smaller rock shows a series of single cups enclosed in grooves forming a rough kind of horseshoe pattern, which has given its name to the rock. (2)
The rock concerned is level with the ground and measures approximately 2.5m x1.0m.
The 'horseshoe' shaped mark mentioned by authority (2), enclosing 16 cups, may be intended to represent a phallus. Other markings on the rock include two cups with single rings, one cup with double ring, several single cups and an incised duct. (3)
