Summary : Pele tower of 15th or early 16th century date, extended in the 16th and 17th centuries and further altered and extended in the 1760s. Service ranges were added in the 19th century but most were removed in 1963-4, when the house was remodelled. Irregular in plan and built of sandstone rubble with slate roofs.

The Hall was enlarged in the late 16th or early 17th century incorporating the 15th century pele tower, later additions included a 19th century south tower. The front was remodelled in 1962-3. (2)
