(1) "At the side of the Portway leading from Old Sarum to Stratford is a Sarsen Stone bearing a bronze tablet, erected to commemorate the site of the old elm tree beneath the branches of which M.P.'s for the borough of Old Sarum were elected up to the time of the passing of the Reform Bill of 1832. The tablet, which was unveiled by the Rt. Hon. Stan. Baldwin M.P. on the 12th June 1931, bears an inscription." (2) Sarsen stone stands at 41/1332/8115. (3) Engraved Stone at SU 13813215. (4)
