Summary : Country house built circa 1752, possibly as early as circa 1730, extended circa 1818 and in the late 19th to early 20th centuries. It has been in use as a preparatory school since the late 19th century. Built of brick with stone dressings, partly stuccoed; lead and slate roofs. The work of the second building phase is said to be associated with George Dance the Younger. |

The internal remodelling of the second phase is said to have been undertaken by H Harrison, assistant to George Dance, who prepared the drawings. Listed Grade II*. (2)
