Newfield Farmhouse

Summary : Probably 16th century, though a fireplace with the date 1634 has been recovered from the site. The farmhouse is partially demolished. Restored late C20. Stone rubble with quoins and renewed ashlar dressings. Welsh slate roof with rubble chimneys and stone gable coping. First build (only left part surviving) 2 storeys, 2 windows. Second build at left 2 lower storeys, one window.

Newfield Farmhouse, now partly demolished, although the western part
remains and is occupied. (2)

Newfield Farmhouse, probably 16th century. Grade 2* (3)

Excavation in 1980 confirmed a 17th century date for the building
when a fireplace arch with the date 1634 was uncovered. (4)
