Summary : Nondenominational free church with strong Congregational connections designed by William and Segar Owen for William Hesketh Lever in 1902-1904. The church was extended in 1914 when a memorial, designed by William Goscombe John, to Lady Leverhulme was built at the west end. The church is constructed in a Neo-Perpendicular style and is built of stone with a stone slate roof. From 1972 the church has been in use as a United Reformed Church.
