Summary : Elongated square of houses, now houses, offices and halls of residence, built between 1829 and 1836 by Richard Grainger to the designs of Thomas Oliver. A fine neo-classical terrace of sandstone ashlar and Welsh slate roofs. The complex is aligned almost north-south, the north range forming an oblique angle with the west range. The buildings are of three storeys, with basements at the south end. Round arched carriage entrances are located in the east range. |
