Summary : A military chapel built at RAF Uxbridge between 1917 and 1945, dedicated to Saint Luke. It is a single storied white weatherboarded building with a gabled felt covered roof. It has an open timber porch on the east side resting on brick dwarf walls. To the north end is a further gabled and weatherboarded annexe with a simple door above which is a round window. The interior is very plain.On 31 March 2010, RAF Uxbridge formally closed as a military base. |
