Summary : Medieval moat surviving as an earthwork. Site of medieval hospital, originally founded as a leper hospital in 1205. Dissolved circa 1547.
More information : [TA 18862918] ST SEPULCHRE'S HOSPITAL [LB] (Site of) MOAT [LB] (1) Hospital originally for lepers, founded before 1205: dissolved c. 1547. (2) There are no visible remains of the hospital, and its site is covered by cultivated gardens. The moat appears to have been re-cut, and is now utilised as an open dyke. Resurveyed at 1:2500. (3)
