More information : (SV 90951240) Burial chamber in ruined cairn, sited from Gray's distribution map (1), see plan (2). It is concealed by a substantial lynchet running parallel to the bottom of the Halangy Down escarpment, and now forms the boundary between a track and a bulb garden. Height 3ft, two cover stones still extant. It was excavated by Gray in 1929 but no report has been published. Hencken's 2a; Daniel's 14. The chamber cannot be identified on air photographs. At SV 90951240 at the foot of Halangy Down, is a chambered cairn of approximate diameter 10.0m and height 1.3m on the lower side. The cairn is very overgrown and merges into a substantial lynchet which partly overlies it on the uphill side. However the chamber is plainly visible and measures 5.0m x 1.2m x 1.0m. There are two cover stones of which the largest is 1.5m x 1.3m. It is orientated north east-south west (Plan with SV 91 SW). Surveyed at 1:2500 on PFD.
