Summary : Four tombstones were found in 1764, 1835 and 1836 and an altar in 1902 at Watermoor. They are now in Gloucester and Corinium Museums. During excavations for a water main in 1950 six Roman skeletons, pottery, iron and a sculptured hand were found.

Various Roman inscribed stones found at Watermoor. A tombstone found c 1764, another in 1835 and two more in 1836; also an altar in 1902. Now in Corinium and Gloucester Museums (2). In 1950, during excavations for a water main, six skeletons, thought to be Roman, some pottery, fragments of iron and a sculptured hand were found in the same place where the grave stones were found (3).
