More information : (SP 16483489) Manor House (Bishop's Palace) (NR) (1) The Manor House at Blockley, mostly C17th, stands on the site of the Palace of the Bishops of Worcester. Grade II*. (2) The "Manor House" (name confirmed by owner), a large, rambling house, largely of 17thc date, not refenestrated in the C18th. In good condition, but not outstanding. No traces of any pre-C17th building noted, and no internal evidence for an earlier building on the site, is known to Major Fox, the owner. (3)
The Manor House, Blockley. Site of the medieval summer palace of the Bishops of Worcester. Rebuilt before 1539 and remodelled in C18th. Built in coursed rubble with stone tile roofs. (4)
