Summary : The approximate site of Roman turret 33A, part of the defences on Hadrian's Wall. There are no surface remains.
More information : [NY 8261 7065] Turret [G.S.] (Site of) (1) Turret 33a was located in 1920, (2) 150 yds. east of the twenty-seventh milestone at the bridge crossing the Coesike. (3) There are no visible remains of this turret; the site is considerably mutilated by stone-robbing. (4) There is no surface trace of the turret, and its position roughly at NY 8261 7065 cannot be verified with precision. (5) Scheduled (6) Located on the English Heritage map of Hadrian's Wall 2010. (7)
