Summary : Remains of a Medieval building, possibly part of Bardney Abbey bakehouse. Pottery and an inhumation also recovered.

Bardney. (1-2)

Mr. Goulsbra, 5, Wragby Rd., who made the initial discovery in
1928 indicated the precise spot at TF 1221 6968. He called in Mr.
Crowder and Mr. A.Smith of Lincoln Museum (both now deceased)
who found the skeleton, potsherds (which were medieval), crumbled
stonework of an ecclesiastical nature and residual evidence of
burning.

They concluded that here was a building associated with Bardney
