More information : (SP 86520877 SP 86730833) Castle Ditch (NR) (1) A ditch on the E side of Aylesbury Street supposed to have partly surrounded a castle site. (2) No trace of the ditch was found along this built-up stretch of Aylesbury Street. However, the name is perpetuated in 'Castle Park Rd' nearby. The enclosure map of c1795 shows no significant names or detail. (3)
