| More information : This railway line, as shown on the Monument record layer of the English Heritage corporate GIS, appears to coincide at its eastern end with the Chattenden and Upnor Railway, which has been recorded as Monument 1545587. It is possible that the Strood and Sharnal Street Branch Railway and the Chattenden and Upnor Railway are one and the same. However, the southern extent of the Strood and Sharnal Street Branch between Lodge Hill and Strood, as shown on the GIS, does not match that of the Chattenden and Upnor Railway and does not appear to coincide with any railway noted on the Ordnance Survey map.
