Summary : Berrystead House - 12th C. mansion (site of)
More information : (SP 94551611) Berrystead House which stood in the
field now called the Warren on the SE side of Ivinghoe churchyard,
was removed about 1832. Henry de Blois brother of King Stephen
is said to have resided there in the 12th c (1). (1)

No trace of this mansion survives, and it is not known by local
tradition. The site is now occupied by the church graveyard. (2)
