More information : Stone Barton Remains of MANOR HOUSE [G.T.] [Name 7157 1393] (1) Stone Barton appears to be of 19th cent. construction though probably on the same site as an earlier house for some of the farm outbuildings, particularly the barn, are 17th cent. The manorial status accorded the site is presumably a continuation or possibly a confusion with the nearby 'castle' or fortified manor house SS 71 SW 1. (2)
