Location :
Devon
North Devon
Brendon and Countisbury
Grid Ref : SS7583049440
Summary : A mound measuring 12.4m in diameter and 1.3m high. It has been disturbed on the eastern side by scooped hollows and has been interpreted as a Bronze Age bowl barrow. To the east is a slight mound which has been interpreted as a ploughed down barrow measuring 5.5m in diameter and 0.3m high.
More information : South-west of Kipscombe at SS 75844944. A bowl barrow
12 paces in diameter and 1 1/2 ft high, found by Grinsell in April
1961. (1)

A peaty mound 11.0m diameter, 0.6m in height on the S and 0.1m in
height on the N. It may be a bowl barrow but is so denuded as to
render identification uncertain.

Surveyed at 1:2500. (2)

A mound centred at SS 75844944 on the eastern side of Barna Barrow. It is 12.4m in diameter, 1.3m high on the south side and 0.4m high on the north side. It has recently been exposed during controlled moorland heather burning and is composed largely of earth with some stone. The mound has been disturbed on its eastern side by scooped hollows, whilst the top is slightly depressed. It is possibly a bowl barrow.

24.5m to the east is a slight earthen rise, possibly a ploughed down barrow. It is 5.5m in diameter and 0.3m high. (3)
