Summary : The base and part of the shaft of a standing stone cross located in the churchyard of All Saint's Church to the south west of the south porch. The cross is medieval in date and is constructed of limestone. The base takes the form of a socket stone of rectangular section, now largely buried. Set into the socket with lead is a small fragment of the shaft, square in section at the base and cut off above the socket stone. Onto it would formerly have been fixed the upper part of the shaft and a cross head. Scheduled. |
