Summary : 14th and 15th century parish church, the chancel rebuilt 1828, nave and aisles rebuilt and porch built circa 1862 by CE Giles, tower part rebuilt 1910. Ashlar with dressed greenstone tower, red brick. Slate roofs with coped gables. Single ridge crosses to the porch, east nave and east chancel. 15th century churchyard cross (not in situ). |
More information : [TF 41036836] CHURCH [TU]. (1) St. Nicholas' Church, Partney, largely restored and partly rebuilt in 1862, has Perpendicular and Decorated features. The brick chancel was built in 1828. The base and broken shaft of the churchyard cross were raised to their present position after being buried for some time. (2-5) The church is in normal use. Cross at TF 41056835 (See G.P's AO/64/60/1 & 2). (6)
