26A/4 Woodliving, Jury Road, Dulverton. Listed Grade 2*

C.16/C.17 origin, later alterations but retains character and many
original features. Creamwashed rubble, thatched roof, 2 storey.
Salient features of roadside elevation are 3 tall square stone stacks,2 rising from exposed chimney breasts with off-sets, and 1 from the
eaves. This elevations also shows a flat-pointed moulded oak
doorframe with studded door, giving access to a cobbled passageway
leading from front to rear, one side of which has crudely worked oak
post and pan panelling. The E wing of the house, flanking this
passage, is a later addition but the style is sympathetic and
conforming. The windows are various, mostly later wood casements, butone in the garden elevation has late C 17 wood mullions and transome
with leaded lights. Interior has spiral staircase and open
fireplaces; also good late C16 painted wall decorations, partly in
lozenges and triangles formed by timber framing of partitions in upperfloor. (2)

Wood Tenament (formerly listed as Woodliving). C16/C17 farmhouse, now a domestic dwelling. Grade II*. (3)
