Summary : The Mount is a tree and bracken covered mound which has been interpreted as a barrow, motte or garden feature. It is surrounded by a ditch.
More information : SS 94102322. The Mount, north east of Combe Head, is a tree and bracken covered mound, diameter 18 paces, height possibly 14 feet. A doubtful barrow, it could perhaps be a Medieval motte or the result of landscape gardening. Visited by Grinsell, April 1958. (1)

A ditch surrounds this possible castle mound. A linear bank extends from the mound along the north side of the path to Horsehill Moor Barn. (2)
