Summary : A large Bronze Age cairn on Dunkery Hill visible as a circular stony mound measuring 17m in diameter and 1.1m high with a pit in the centre.

and 3.5ft. high. Found from air photographs.

Both features listed by Grinsell are overgrown, disturbed cairns. HisNo. 2 is 1.0 metres high (G.P.s AO/65/126/7 and 8) and No. 3 is 0.8
metres high (G.P.s AO/65/141/4 and 5).
At SS 9103 4279 is another overgrown and disturbed cairn, 0.8 metres
high. (G.P.s AO/65/140/1 and 2.)

A large cairn lies on the NE slope of Dunkery Hill at SS 91026 42799. It comprises a circular, stony mound 17m in diameter and 1.1m high. There is some disturbance in the NE quadrant. A pit, 2.8m square, with upcast around it, lies in the centre of the mound. The cairn was surveyed using differential GPS as part of the RCHME Exmoor Project. The two other cairns mentioned in this record have been recorded as separate HOB UIDs 1082143 and 1082148 (6).

Round cairn on Dunkery Hill, forming part of a prehistoric round cairn cemetery. Scheduled. (7)
