Summary : Bowl Barrow and moot situated to the south of Honington Airfield. The barrow is visible as an earthen mound, which stands to a height of approximately 2.5 metres. The barrow mound is roughly circular with a diameter of about 34 metres. Encircling the mound are a ditch and external bank, which are clearly visible on the north east and south west sides of the mound. The ditch is largely infilled, but is marked by a hollow approximately 0.2 metres deep and up to 8 metres wide. The external bank is about 6 metres wide, and survives in places to a height of 0.5 metres. The monument is believed to have been used as a meeting place for the Court of the Bradmere Hundred. Height 9 1/2 feet. Approx. diameter 42 paces. No ditch, flat or hollow top. Covered with trees and bushes. (2)
Troston Mount. A large bowl barrow 30.0m in diameter and 2.5m in height, with no trace of ditch.
Tree covered, and with a probably very recent mutilation in the N.W. quadrant of the top, but in good condition.
Published survey (25" 1904) correct. (3)
