At Pulham Market a long siding was laid to an airship base in World War I, the base again being used in World war II, and by the Royal Air Force since 1958. Closed from Harleston to Bungay in 1960, in 1964 the Bungay-Ditchlingham portion closed, followed in 1965 by that on to Beccles and finally the western section in 1966. |
