Summary : A pair of ice houses and a small oval enclosure of post medieval date are visible as structure and earthworks on historic and recent air photos. These were associated with Studley Royal Hall.
More information : A pair of ice houses and a small oval enclosure of post medieval date are visible as earthworks on historic and recent air photos at SE2849 6958. The stone built ice house are partially concealed by earthern mounds and set within a small embanked and ditched enclosure approximately 27m in diameter. These features overlie ridge and furrow and strip lynchets (UID 1534479). The ice houses were associated with Studley Royal Hall (UID 52142), which was destroyed in 1946. (1)
