More information : [SW 4200 2935] Sancreed No.1 Cross- (On the churchyard wall) Found lying in a ditch on an estate called Trannack about 1887, by the Rev. R. Basset Rogers. It was re-erected in an old socket in Sancreed churchyard. The shaft and base are still missing. Dimensions Height 1' 10", width 2' 1", thickness 9". The crosses on front and back are alike. [See AO/59/346/6] (1) The cross is as described and figured by Langdon. It is at SW 4200 2934. Ground photograph AO/60/369/6. (2) Crosses(NR) (3) The greater part of the head of a wheelhead cross, minus shaft and base, is set on top of the churchyard wall on the north side of the west entrance gate of Sancreed churchyard. It was found at Trannack (SW 417307) about 1887 and may have marked the path from Trannock to Sancreed Church. One of five scheduled crosses in Sancreed churchyard. (4-6) Crosshead as described.
